Abominable Snowman – Yeti Mystery Debunked By Scientist (VIDEO)

Yeti

Abominable Snowman no more. Yeti no more. The mystery of the Yeti may be a little clearer as new research claims the animal is more of an all-fours creature rather than just feet. Professor Sykes, an expert in human genetics at Oxford University, analyzed hairs from two unknown animals found 800 miles apart in the Himalayas. After the most advanced DNA tests, Professor Sykes found that he had a 100 per cent match with a sample from an ancient polar bear jawbone found in Svalbard, Norway.

The animal may have dated back 120,000 years to a time when the polar bear and closely related brown bear were separating as species. It is now believed that the Yeti could be a hybrid of both, mirroring research done by mountaineer Reinhold Messner.

The Yeti or Abominmable Snowman is one of a number of legendary ape-like beasts — along with Sasquatch and Bigfoot — reputed to live in heavily forested or snowy mountains. Scientists are skeptical, but decades of eyewitness reports, blurry photos and stories have kept the legend alive.
