A male customer was surprised to see a snake in a Starbucks toilet in San Antonio, Texas. Bruce Ahlswede thought it was just a toy left by pranksters, but realize it was real when the animal started to move.
Ahlswede’s wife, Michele, took a photo of the snake in Starbucks and posted it to Facebook.
CNN affiliate KSAT consulted a snake expert who told them it was likely a non-poisonous rat snake. A website for the University of Austin Amphibian and Reptile Diversity Research Center describes rat snakes as similar-looking to pythons that have reached 7 feet in length. The site says the snakes pose no threat to humans.
