Overshoot
A commercial jet has overshot the runway, crashing into a border fence at Flying Cloud Airport in Minneapolis on Monday morning, according to reports. A Metropolitan Airports Commission spokesperson, Melissa Scovronski, has told KARE that the jet overshot its landing, sending it off the end of the runway and through a chain linked fence at the border of the area.

The jet finally came to a rest with its nose resting on the shoulder of Flying Cloud Drive.

The incident forced officials to close the south bound lane of Flying Cloud Drive while investigators conduct with work into the incident, and made the area safe.

Following the accident, there were no reports of any injuries, according to a airport spokesperson on Monday.

The plane had been scheduled to land at Flying Cloud Airport at 8.47 a.m. local time. It had departed from Pittsburgh at 7.31 a.m.

However, the plane arrived slightly late and the incident happened a few minutes before 9 a.m. local time, and saw the plane shoot out onto the road at the end of the airport.
