O.J. Simpson Parol Granted But Still Not Free

O.J. Simpson, he’s been granted parole. But that doesn’t mean he’ll be walking free anytime soon.

Simpson, who has been waging a campaign on several fronts to get out of prison, has chalked up a rare victory. The Nevada Parole Board ruling had granted him parole. Thanks to a positive institutional record, meaning good behavior, among other reasons. Simpson argued in his own words to the board last week, “I’m not an idiot, despite all of the stories in the tabloids. I haven’t had one incident since I’ve been here.”

Simpson may have won parole, but he’s not going free because his sentence on the Las Vegas robbery to get back his own sports memorabilia, includes so many different charges. He won’t go anywhere until a parole hearing on those other convictions, as well…a hearing at least four more years away.
