Le Mans 2013 Race Crash Kills Driver Allan Simonsen (VIDEO)

Aston Martin Danish driver Allan Simonsen died after a crash at the 24 hours Le Mans 2013 race in France on Saturday. The 34-year-old Simonsen after his car skidded into the barrier at the Tertre Rouge corner where speeds reach up to 105 mph.

Simonsen died at the hospital due to fatal injuries.

“Tragically, and despite the best efforts of the emergency services in attendance, Allan’s injuries proved fatal,” Aston Martin Racing said in a statement on its website.
