David Garrard Quits New York Jets Due To Knee Problems

NFL.com’s Adam Schein tweeted that he received a message from quarterback David Garrard will quit from the New York Jets. His consistent knee swelling impaired his ability to play.

The tweet: “Having to call it quits. My knee is not holding up. Continuing to swell after practices.”

The New York Jets announced that they had signed a contract with Garrard on March 11, 2013.
