Mike Wallace Tweet Controversy … and Apology

When NBA player Jason Collins announced came out that he is gay, Miami Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace was quick to post his homophobic tweet (@Wallace17_daKid) saying “All these beautiful women in the world and guys wanna mess with other guys SMH …” He then followed up with: “I’m not bashing anybody don’t have anything against anyone I just don’t understand it.”

The tweet got plenty of negative attention, so Wallace deleted it. Here is a screenshot:

Minutes later, he tweeted an apology: “Never said anything was right or wrong I just said I don’t understand!! Deeply sorry for anyone that I offended.”
