Glee School Shooting Episode Causes Controversy

The Glee school shooting episode last night, Thursday, caused some families in Newtown, Conn. to react that it was “too soon.” The FOX TV show episode showed teacher Will Schuester (Matt Morrision) leading a group of students to safety after they hear gunfire.

“Glee” students hid in a dark, locked choir room and one cowered in a bathroom stall, weeping.

The Newtown Action Alliance posted a message on Facebook: “I would suggest if you do watch this TV show to either not watch it tonight or watch with caution.”

According to FOX, the episode had been in production for about six months, since before the Newtown shooting.

The network declined to comment on the show Thursday.
