Carson Daly Show ‘Last Call’ on NBC Renewed For 13th Season

carson-dalyNBC has renewed its innovative late-night show “Last Call with Carson Daly,” acclaimed as TV’s unofficial music tastemaker, for a 13th season, it was announced by Paul Telegdy, President, Alternative and Late Night Programming, NBC.

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Carson who has broken the mold, creating his own unique late-night show format with ‘Last Call,’“ said Telegdy. “The show has become a platform for emerging artists – and Carson’s engaging interview style has made it the place for insightful conversations with an eclectic group of new stars as well as established icons and news makers.”

“Last Call with Carson Daly,” which airs weeknights at 1:35 a.m., continues to push the boundaries of late-night television. In each episode “Last Call” hits the streets and takes the entire show on location, introducing his audience to the stories you simply won’t find anywhere else.

“I’m extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished with ‘Last Call,’” said Daly, who has been at the helm of the show since it launched in 2002. “I love coming to work every day and having the opportunity to collaborate with this incredible team. We are always looking to give viewers something new and fresh that they can’t find anywhere else on television. I’m grateful to have the chance to continue doing what I love the most.”

The youngest-skewing weeknight late-night series on ABC, CBS and NBC, “Last Call” has garnered acclaim for its gritty documentary style. Highlights from the past season include conversations with deadmau5 and Grammy Award-winning artist Kimbra. Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and fun all made their TV debuts on “Last Call.”

Daly is also the host of NBC’s hit music competition “The Voice,” which has returned for its fourth season this spring with stellar ratings across key demos and in total viewers. In addition to “The Voice,” Daly is host of NBC’s annual two-hour “New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly,” where he rings in the year from Times Square in New York City. Previously, Daly was host of MTV’s popular afternoon show “Total Request Live” where he helped break in new artists.

“Last Call with Carson Daly” is produced by Universal Television. Stewart Bailey and Guy Oseary are the executive producers.
