The Voice Is #1 For Monday Night In Adults 18-49, Revolution Is #2
NBC is a decisive #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox with the #1 and #2 shows of the night on those networks in 18-49, “The Voice” and “Revolution,” pending updates.
From 8-10:01 p.m. ET, “The Voice” (4.6 rating, 13 share in adults 18-49, 13.1 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and every other key demographic. In 18-49, “The Voice” topped ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” and Fox’s original dramas by a margin of 119 percent each (4.6 vs. 2.1 for both ABC and Fox). “The Voice” is currently running within 0.2 of a point of last week’s 4.8 official-national rating for “The Voice’s” premiere (and is within a tenth of last week’s 4.7 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings).
Last night’s “The Voice” grew 12 percent versus its 4.1 rating on the same night last year and was up 21 percent versus its year-ago total-viewer result (13.064 million vs. 10.830 million).
“The Voice” built impressively throughout its two hours, with this half-hour track in 18-49: 3.9, 4.5, 4.8, 5.3 From its first half-hour to its fourth, “The Voice” grew by 36 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 5.3 from a 3.9) and 26 percent or 3.0 million persons in total viewers (14.6 million vs. 11.6 million).
From 10:01-11 p.m. ET, “Revolution” (2.3/6 in adults 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall) ranks #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and other key demographics and is the #1 drama of the night on those networks in 18-49, pending updates. “Revolution” is up 44 percent versus NBC’s average in the time period last season in 18-49 rating (2.3 vs. 1.6, L+SD non-sports) and up 30 percent in total viewers (6.662 million vs. 5.106 million).
Note that “Revolution” has established itself as a highly time-shifted show, growing by an average of 62 percent in the fourth quarter when going from its “live plus same day” rating (3.10) to “live plus seven days” (5.03).
