Jay Leno Snakes Joke Targets NBC Executives (VIDEO)
Jay Leno mocked NBC executives during his opening monologue on The Tonight Show on Monday.
“Well you know the whole legend of St. Patrick, right? St. Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland, and then they came here to the United States and became NBC executives,” he joked. “It’s a fascinating, fascinating story.”
Few weeks ago, Jay Leno, also jokes about the network’s ongoing ratings struggle.
“For the first time in history, NBC is going to finish fifth in the ratings period. We are behind the Spanish-language network Univision — or as we call it here in Los Angeles: Cinco de Ratings. It’s so bad, The Biggest Loser isn’t just a TV show anymore; it’s our new motto.”
There are reports that the network will replace him with Jimmy Fallon as the host of The Tonight Show next year.
