Midwest Readies For Winter Storm Saturn

Winter Storm Saturn now troubles the Midwest, starting Sunday.

Winter Storm SaturnSunday, snow will overspread the northern Plains, becoming heavy Sunday night, in parts of eastern Montana and North Dakota. Light snow should overspread parts of South Dakota, western Minnesota and Iowa Sunday night, as well.

Monday, snow will continue in the northern Plains, heaviest in eastern Montana, North Dakota, western Minnesota and parts of Iowa. Strong winds may lead to significant blowing and drifting snow and reduced visibility, particularly in outlying areas of eastern and northern North Dakota and eastern Montana.

Snow will also spread southeast as far as central Illinois and central Indiana on Monday.

Tuesday, snow will end in the northern Plains, shifting into the western Great Lakes, Upper Mississippi and Ohio Valleys.

This snow may be heavy at times in parts of Minnesota, Iowa, and the northern half of Illinois. Lighter snows may extend into parts of Indiana and possibly western Ohio by Tuesday night.
