Rory McIlroy Quits From Honda Classic Tournament (VIDEO)
So what just happened at the Honda Classic today? Top golfer, Rory McIlroy, walked off the golf course Friday and quit from the Honda Classic in South Florida after hitting his second shot into the water on the par-5 18th hole.
After he shook hands with playing partners Mark Wilson and Ernie Els, McIlroy just walked straight to his car and then drove off. On his way to his car, he told reporters that he was not in a good place mentally.
“There’s not really much I can say, guys,” McIlroy said. “I’m not in a good place mentally, you know?”

I agree with Rory McIlroy’s decision to leave the Honda Classic. He was simply unable to concentrate and didn’t want to affect his playing partners. It’s really better to apologize for a sudden withdrawal than having to apologize for a poor performance. So he made the best decision in my opinion.
