Michelle Obama Presents Best Picture Awards At Oscars 2013

It was a surprise to everyone when First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on the screen to present the Best Picture award at the Oscars 2013 awards Sunday in Hollywood.

Live from the White House, she named hit movie “Argo” as Best Picture of the year.

“[These films] taught us that love can beat all odds,” Obama said. “They reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage within ourselves.”

“Argo,” which was directed by Ben Affleck, brought home three of the seven awards for which it was nominated, the most notable being Best Picture.
