Every Second CountsIf you have bought one or two of Lance Armstrong’s best-selling memoirs, the you might be interested with this story.  Two readers of the books featuring the life of the disgraced cyclist,  sued Armstrong and his publishers on Tuesday. The class-action lawsuit was filed in Sacramento federal court.  The reason? They thought that the info in the books were fraud, especially when Armstrong mentioned that he did not use banned drugs when he returned to the Tour de France after battling cancer.

The books “It’s Not About the Bike” and “Every Second Counts” portrayed Armstrong as a heroic and inspiring figure.

Part of the 57-page lawsuit said: “Plaintiffs and class members would not have purchased the books had they known the true facts concerning Armstrong’s misconduct and his admitted involvement in a sports doping scandal that has to his recent and ignominious public exposure and fall from glory.”

“Both books have now been exposed as frauds,” the plaintiffs said to NY Daily News. “Armstrong now admits that without his use of banned performance enhancing drugs beginning in the mid-1990s, he would not have won and continued to win cycling races, including seven consecutive Tour de France races.

Armstrong admitted to Oprah Winfrey last week that he used banned drugs en route to his seven Tour de France victories.
