Earl Weaver Dies While On A Cruise

Earl WeaverBaseball Hall of Famer Orioles manager Earl Weaver dies at age 82 while a Caribbean cruise, according to his marketing agent on Saturday. The cause of death is still unknown.

Weaver’s wife said that Weaver went to his cabin after dinner and began choking between 10:30 and 11 p.m. Friday night, ESPN reports.

Weaver took the Orioles into the World Series four times over 17 seasons but won only one title, in 1970.

Weaver finished with a 1,480-1,060 record. He won Manager of the Year three times. He was inducted into the Hall in 1996.
