Hog-Nosed Skunk At The Grand Canyon
Finding a hog-nosed skunk at the Grand Canyon is a rare sight. But Jen Hiebert, one of the rafters camping along the Colorado river in August 2012, was able to take a photo snap of the animal in the bushes near one of their tents.
Grand Canyon biologists who have seen the picture later confirmed that it was indeed a hog-nosed skunk. However, they are not sure whether the animal was just visiting the area or not.
