Norderoogsand – New Island in Germany

Here’s Norderoogsand, a new island that has emerged from the waters of the North Sea off the German coast. It is now home to around 50 different plant species and sea birds such as herring gulls and oyster catchers.

The island was formed by strong winds creating sand dunes as high as four meters. The area of the island is estimated at 14 acres.
