Netflix Down on Christmas Eve Due To Amazon’s Cloud Infrastructure

Is Netflix down right now? It is. It has been down for some customers this Christmas Eve, thanks to a outage of some of Amazon’s cloud infrastructure.

Netflix twitted about the outage:

We’re sorry for the Christmas Eve outage. Terrible timing! Engineers are working on it now. Stay tuned to @netflixhelps for updates.

Update: It looks like the problem has been solved. Netflix tweeted this on Tuesday morning “Special thanks to our awesome members for being patient. We’re back to normal streaming levels. We hope everyone has a great holiday.”
