Scarlett Johansson, Kerry Washington, Eva Longoria – Democratic National Convention (VIDEOS)

Actresses Scarlett Johansson, Kerry Washington, and Eva Longoria spoke at the 2012 Democratic National Convention on Thursday night.

Advocate Scarlett Johansson urged people to vote. “Earlier this week, Chelsea Clinton reminded us that we are the generation who feel our voices haven’t been heard. So vote so that your voice is heard.”

Kerry Washington stressed the necessity of voting in the fall, “The other side wants to take our voices away and make us invisible. But we are not invisible.”

“Like a lot of you, I did whatever it took and, four years later, I got my degree.” Longoria said. “More importantly, I got a key to American opportunity. That’s who we are — a nation that rewards ambition with opportunity. Where hard work can lead to success, no matter where you start. Traveling the country for the president, I see young Americans of every background fighting to succeed. They’re optimistic, ambitious, hardworking. But they also want to know that their hard work will pay off.”
