Michael Phelps Is Now The Most Bemedalled Olympic Athlete

Michael Phelps set a record in the 2012 London Olympics! The U.S. swimmer has become the most bemedalled athlete in the Olympic history with 19 medals in total. Phelps had broken a tie with Russian gymnast Larissa Latynina as the most-decorated athlete in the history of the Games.

Phelps entered the games on Tuesday with 17 medals, then winning silver in the 200-meter butterfly and then gold in the 4×200.
