Uganda PM Amama Mbabazi Responds to Kony 2012 Video

Uganda Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi went to YouTube to respond to the viral Kony 2012 video that asked everyone around the world to spread the name Joseph Kony in hopes that he will be captured this year. Joseph Kony is wanted by the International Criminal Court for abducting children to use as fighters and sex slaves.

In a 9-minute video, Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi said that Kony is not in their country and that the government is doing all it can to find him.

“The Kony 2012 campaign fails to make one crucial point clear. Joseph Kony is not in Uganda.”

“Uganda is not in conflict. Uganda is a modern, developing country which enjoys peace, stability and security,” Mbabazi said.
