Iowa Caucus Results Show Mitt Romney Beating Rick Santorum

The Iowa Caucus results are in and Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney beat former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum by only 8 votes on Tuesday’s caucus. Santorum won the support of 30,007 caucus-goers, giving him 25 percent support, while Romney won 30,015 votes — also 25 percent.

This is the first win for Romney in the Republican presidential nomination.

Ron Paul (R) – 26,219 votes (21%)
Newt Gingrich (R) – 16,251 votes (13%)

Michele Bachmann (R) – 6,073 votes (5%)
Jon Huntsman (R) – 745 votes (1%)
No Preference (R) – 135 votes (0%)
Other (R) – 117 votes (0%)
