Oklahoma State University Basketball Coach Dead In Plane Crash
Oklahoma State University’s women’s basketball head coach Kurt Budke, assistant coach Miranda Serna and two others not connected with the program died when the plane they were flying in crashed in Arkansas Thursday evening.
The other two killed in the crash were Former Oklahoma state Senator Olin Branstetter and his wife Paula.
Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis said in a press conference:
“This is obviously an incredibly devastating event; it’s our worst nightmare. The entire OSU family is very close, very close indeed, and to lose anyone, and especially these two individuals who were incredibly life forces in our family… it’s worse beyond words.”
The cause of the crash is now under investigation.
