The new iPhone has been unveiled by Apple on Tuesday, and calling the new version of the device, the iPhone 4S. The (so-called) iPhone 5 release date has been announced — Oct. 14th. Preorders start on Friday with the prices starting at $199 for the 16GB model. The new unit will be available on the AT&T, Verizon and Sprint networks.
Previous models of the iPhone will still be available for sale through its wireless carrier partners. The iPhone4 will drop the price to $99 from $199 with a two-year contract. An even older model of the device, the iPhone 3GS, will be free, instead of $99, with a two-year contract.
Will you be getting the iPhone 5, aka iPhone4S?
Update: Techcruch is reporting that iPhone4S is not ACTUALLY the iPhone5.
