Andy Murray, Maria Sharapova Win Tennis Championships in Ohio

Andy Murray of Scotland was declared the winner at the tennis championship at the Western & Southern Open in Mason, Ohio, Sunday after world #1 ranked Novak Djokovic retired because of a sore right shoulder.

Murray led 6-4, 3-0 when Djokovic decided to stop playing.

In the women’s tennis final, fourth-seeded Russian Maria Sharapova defeated 14th-ranked Jelena Jankovic 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3. The match lasted for 2 hours, 49 minutes.
