Geoffrey Mutai Sets Fastest Time for Marathon Ever

Kenyan runner Geoffrey Mutai won the 2011 Boston Marathon early Monday morning and setting a record as the fastest marathon ever run with a time of 2:03:02 — beating the record by :58 seconds.

Geoffrey Mutai was followed by Moses Mosop aslo from Kenya with a time of 2:03:06. Third place went to Gebremariam Gebregziabher from Ethiopia with 2:04:53.

Kenyan Caroline Kilel won the women’s marathon with an time of 2:22:36 and American Desiree Davila was second at 2:22:38.
