The Masters 2012 Practice Round Tickets

Beginning today, golf fans around the world can visit www.masters.com to submit an application for 2012 Practice Round tickets and, for the first time, a small number of Daily Tournament tickets, Billy Payne, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, announced.

“Moving the entire application process to our official Tournament Web site is a safe and convenient way for those wishing to apply for daily Practice Round tickets,” Payne said. “We are also pleased to provide a limited number of tickets for the individual Tournament Round days, which, up until now, have only been allocated to our Series Badge holders.”

Regarding 2012 Masters tickets, please note the following:

· All applications for Practice Round and Daily Tournament tickets are now being accepted exclusively at www.masters.com.

· Daily Tournament ticket applications must be submitted by June 30. The deadline for Practice Round ticket applications is July 30.

· Each allocation will have its own random selection process and all applicants will be notified by e-mail within several weeks after the respective application deadlines.

· The maximum allocation for Daily Tournament tickets is two tickets for any one day and four for any one day for Practice Round tickets.

· The yearly application process for existing Series Badge holders, who comprise the overwhelming majority of Thursday-Sunday patrons, will also transition to the Internet; this new process will be communicated to Series Badge holders later this year.

· All information regarding daily tickets is available on www.masters.com.

Practice Round tickets have been awarded through random selection since the 1995 Tournament with applications being accepted through the mail. The list of patrons who regularly receive applications for Series Badges, which grant Thursday-Sunday admittance, has been closed since 1971. A waiting list was then established, closed in 1978, re-opened briefly in 2000, and has now been exhausted through the reallocation of attrited tickets.

The 2012 Masters Tournament is currently scheduled for April 2-8.
