Virginia Commonwealth University VCU Beats KU

The Kansas Jayhawks’ supposedly easy stroll on the Road to the Final Four ended in a pothole Sunday.

Virginia Commonwealth University, VCU, a No. 11 seed and the biggest underdog remaining in the NCAA Tournament, used an uncanny barrage of 3-point shooting to upset top-seeded KU 71-61 Sunday in the finals of the Southwest Regional in San Antonio.

Only two previous No. 11 seeds have ever reached the Final Four.
