James Dean Birthday Remembered

Today, we remember James Dean, the iconic Hollywood actor who died at a young age of 24. He died from a car crash.

James Dean would have turned 80 today.

Dean became an icon of rebellion for American teens, best embodied by the title of his most celebrated film, “Rebel Without a Cause” (1955). He starred as Jim Stark, a troubled Los Angeles teenager who symbolized the restless youth in the mid-1950s.

Dean’s two other starring roles were as loner Cal Trask in “East of Eden” (1955), and as the surly farmer, Jett Rink, in “Giant” (1956), according to Wikipedia .
