Angelo Reyes Dead From Gunshot Wound

What a tragic turn of events! Angelo Reyes, the Philippines former Defense Secretary died of a gun shot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at 8:32 a.m. Tuesday, Philippine time.

A witness said, via GMA News, that Reyes entered Loyola Memorial Park and stood at the graves of his parents before falling, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Reyes was rushed to the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC) around 7:30 a.m. by a driver, an aide, and his two sons.

When he arrived at the hospital, his blood pressure already very low, his skin was “cold and clammy,” and he had no vital signs.

He said doctors tried to resuscitate Reyes for 45 minutes but failed to get his blood pressure up.
