Wake County Public Schools – Delay of Classes

Schools Open on 2-Hour Delay, Thurs., Dec. 16. The Wake County Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Thursday, Dec. 16, due to forecast inclement weather.

Parents are strongly encouraged to monitor the this Website and early morning newscasts as weather conditions may force the cancellation of classes altogether.

In the event that weather conditions force the closure of schools, due to the short notice and in order to minimize the impact on families, traditional calendar students will make up the day on January 3. Year-round calendar students will make up the day later in January.
