Richmond Marathon 2010 Kicks Off Today

Good luck to everyone participating in Saturday’s SunTrust Richmond Marathon. The Richmond Marathon starts and finishes in charming historic downtown Richmond, once the capital of the south.. The scenic, fast loop course takes in all of the city’s old neighborhoods, traveling up Monument Avenue, past statues of Confederate soldiers and Richmond native and tennis star Arthur Ashe, through the campus of Virginia Commonwealth University, then alongside the James River.

Saturday, November 13, 2010:

7 a.m. – 8k start
7:30 a.m. – Half Marathon start
8 a.m. – Marathon start
8 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Post-race celebration at Finish Line
3 p.m. – Marathon course closes
