Virginia Tech football team, the Hokies, beat Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Thursday night with a 28-21 victory. Virginia Tech’s defensive coordinator Bud Foster said in an interview, “Yeah you know, I tell you I’m really proud of the way our kids played. The hard part of this offense is that it’s hard to simulate. The scout team did as good of a job as they could, but you can’t simulate that speed. We gave up big plays and they got up 14-0 early.

“Then we really settled down and played well till the very end. They got a couple pass plays on us, big plays. I think we played pretty solid for the most part. We tried to pressure the quarterback. We did miss some tackles, but the bottom line is the kids hung in there, they worked very hard for all 60 minutes. They came away with a big, big win for our football team, especially it’s big in the conference.”
