The John Lennon Songwriting Contest 2010 – in honor of John Lennon’s 70th Birthday anniversary. Upload your songs of peace, love, political activism, and free expression! The winning song will be selected by Yoko Ono herself!

Enter your John Lennon inspired song from any genre into the John Lennon Songwriting Contest between September 23rd and October 19th, 2010 and you’ll also be entered for the chance to win a new electric Epiphone “Inspired By” John Lennon Casino guitar and GHS Strings, or one of two Sibelius and Apple iPod Shuffle prize packs as runner up!

This special opportunity also automatically enters your song into the John Lennon Songwriting Contest’s open Session II, 2010 at no additional cost! Making you eligible for the biggest prize package to date, totaling over $275,000 in cash and prizes. An international songwriting contest that began in 1997, the John Lennon Songwriting Contest is open to amateur and professional songwriters who submit entries in any one of 12 categories. The JLSC features two Sessions – with 72 Finalists, 24 Grand Prize Winners, 12 Lennon Award Winners and 1 Song of the Year.

Each entry requires the following elements:

• One Song five (5) minutes or less
• A lyric sheet – no lyrics necessary for instrumental compositions
• A payment — $30.00 per song
