Miami Dade Public Schools announcement on school closings and delays: The Miami Dade County school district announced late Tuesday that the school would remain open Wednesday. District administrators said they will continue to monitor weather reports.

Sustained wind speeds must reach 40 mph before school are closed, officials said.
