Piers Morgan Replaces Larry King

After all the rumors of who is going to replace Larry King, now it is final. CNN announced that the 45-year-old Piers Morgan will take over 76-year-old King’s spot on the network. The British-born journalist and NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” show judge, will host an interview show weekdays at 9 p.m.

Mr. Morgan said he would seek a “happy medium” between hard and soft news interviews, naming President Obama, Sarah Palin, Mel Gibson and Lindsay Lohan in the same sentence of people he would like to sit down with.

Mr. Klein said that Mr. Morgan was a “natural fit” for CNN. The network said in a news release that Mr. Morgan “will be based in New York, and also work from Los Angeles and London.”
