Oakland Community College MAGIC Summer Camp
Join the Oakland Community College MAGIC Construction Summer Camp happening July 12 to 16, 2010. Hosted by Oakland Community College’s Womencenter and Construction Management Program and supported by the National Association of Women in Construction and local construction industry companies, MAGIC Camp is a unique opportunity to utilize the “tools of the trade” through experiencing construction-related skills. This hands-on, one-week day camp provides high-school girls the satisfying experience of building a small-frame house and learning the carpentry, electrical, masonry, and plumbing aspects of construction.
This day camp is for young women in high school, ages 15-19.
The MAGIC Camp experience is free to the registered students, thanks to the generous donations of the local construction industry and Oakland Community College. All participating campers will receive two free camp T-shirts.
Visit the Oakland Community College website for more.
