Assateague Island Ponies Swim

If you are looking for a perfect getaway this month, see the Chincoteague Wild Pony Swim which will be held on July 28, 2010 – the last Wednesday of July. Annual event that brings thousands of spectators who travel from all over the world to see the Virginia herd of approx. 150 Assateague Ponies swim across Assateague Island Channel.

Assateague Island is a 37-mile long barrier island located off the eastern coast of Maryland and Virginia.
