Metra Train Schedule for Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Championship Celebration. In order to accommodate the anticipated increase in ridership generated by the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Championship Celebration, Metra will be adding additional service.

While Metra Train will make every attempt to provide service as usual to our regular riders, please be aware that delays from 15 to 20 minutes may occur due to increased ridership resulting from this special event. In this regard, it is recommended that evening riders verify their train time and track locations prior to boarding. Metra Train regrets any inconvenience that you may experience and appreciate your patience. Passengers desiring to board trains with bicycles may be unable to do so due increased ridership and resulting limited seating.

Those wishing to attend this event will be able to purchase Metra’s Weekend Ticket at the regular rate of $7.00 and travel on Friday, June 11, 2010, on trains arriving and departing Chicago after 9:00 AM. As an added accommodation, Family Fares which allow up to three children age 11 and under to ride free with a fare paying adult will also be extended to include Friday, June 11, 2010.

Please be aware that the consumption of alcoholic beverages will not be permitted on Metra Trains all day on Friday, June 11, 2010.
