CIF Southern Section Masters Tournament

2010 CIF SOUTHERN SECTION
MASTERS TOURNAMENT
TUESDAY, MAY 18, 2010 @ BELMONT PLAZA POOL

FORMAT
Swimming – The top 24 swimmers in each event will be seeded in a Timed Finals format, with the top 2 from each division as well as the next 16 fastest times from the 2010 C.I.F. Southern Section Swimming Championship Finals or Consolation Finals. Two alternates will also be considered.

Diving – The competition will take place on the 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards, with the Boys and Girls competitions taking place concurrently. Divers will perform six dives, selected from the NFHS list of dives (Page 63 of the current NFHS Rules Book) and must include all five groups. There is no limitation on degree of difficulty. Dives may be performed in the order of the diver’s choosing, from either the 1-meter or 3-meter boards. Dive lists may be changed up until 15 minutes prior to the start of competition.

AWARDS – Awards will be given immediately following each event.
Swimming – Medals will be awarded to places 1-8 in the Masters Meet.
Diving – Medals will be awarded to places 1-8 for Boys and for Girls.

ALTERNATES
There will be two alternates (the 25th and 26th fastest times from the 2010 C.I.F. Southern Section Swimming Championship Finals or Consolation Finals) for every event at the Masters Meet, including relays. Alternates must be present and ready to compete at the time of their event.

ADMISSION
This is a CIF-SS sponsored event. Participants and coaches will be admitted at the Participant Entrance, similar to the format used for championships. All others will pay the regular admission price.

General Admission – $8.00
Students (with valid student I.D.) & Children – $5.00 (13 & under)
The Spectator Entrance will open at 11:30 a.m.
