Susan Powell Body Found?

Police said that a body has been found in Idaho Falls and may be from the missing West Valley mother Susan Powell. Susan Powell, 28, has been missing since December 6, 2009.

Exclusive to abc4.com, a spokesman for the family of Susan Cox Powell issued this statement Monday evening from their home in Puyallup, Washington:

“While it seems unlikely that the body found near Idaho Falls is Susan, her friends and family are acutely aware of the anguish the discovery presents for the families of other missing persons. In one aspect, the recovery of the body of a missing loved one offers a sense of closure and ends the relentless worrying and wondering. It also comes, however, with a finality that is inarguable. No more hoping the missing person will inexplicably come home.”
