Butler University Defeats Murray State University

Butler University won over Murray State University in a very close NCAA 2010 Bracket Tournament game with a score of 54-52. Butler University was seeded number five in the 2010 NCAA Tournament bracket coming into the game with Murray State hot off its win over Vanderbilt with their last second shot that gave them the win at the buzzer.

Butler University won a close NCAA 2010 Bracket Tournament game over Murray State by the score of 54-52. Butler University was seeded number five in the 2010 NCAA Tournament bracket coming into the game with Murray State hot off its win over Vanderbilt with their last second shot that gave them the win at the buzzer.

Matt Howard missed two late free throws for Butler that could have put them up by four points. A rebound by opening round game hero Danero Thomas on the missed free throw gave Murray State one last chance to tie or win the game. But a crucial turnover by Isaiah Canaan and Gordon Hayward steal gave the victory to Butler University.

Butler was coming into the game with a perfect Horizon record of 18-0 with an overall record of 30 wins with four losses. The leader for Butler today was Ronald Nored who scored 15 points in the win. The 6-9 guard had six assists as well helping Butler to the win.

Isaiah Canaan had 14 points for the Murray State Racers who have been eliminated in today’s second round.
