Thin Ice – ABC Debuts Show

Thin Ice debuted Friday on ABC. The finale will be shown on Sunday night at 7 p.m. The requirement was to entertain at “Thin Ice” a live, televised figure skating reality competition that originated from the Premier Ballroom of MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Mashantucket, Conn., featuring 10 competitors from four skating disciplines – ladies, men, pairs and dance – who were paired as five couples. No pairs or dance skaters were coupled with his or her current partner.

Shae-Lynn Bourne, Canada, 2003 World Champion ice dancer and John Zimmerman, three-time U.S. National Champion and World bronze medalist as a pairs skater.

Marie-France Dubreuil of Canada, five-time Canadian National Ice Dancing Champion and Michael Weiss, three-time U.S. National Champion and World bronze medalist. Here are the teams:

Jamie Salé of Canada, 2001 World Champion, 2002 Olympic Champion as a pairs skater and Patrice Lauzon, five-time Canadian National Champion and two-time World silver medalist as an ice dancer.

Elena Berezhnaya, two-time World Champion and Olympic Co-Champion and David Pelletier, Canada, 2001 World Champion, 2002 Olympic Champion as a pairs skater.

Shizuka Arakawa, Japan, 2006 Olympic Champion and Stephane Lambiel, from Switzerland, fresh from the Vancouver Olympics, where he came in 4th.
