Alex Chilton Dies

American songwriter, guitarist, singer and producer, Alex Chilton, died today. The cause of death is believed to have been a heart attack. He was 59.

Chilton was taken to hospital in New Orleans today, March 17, 2010, complaining of health problems. He was survived by his wife, Laura and son, Timothy.
