2010 Austin Kite Festival

The 82nd Annual Zilker Park Kite Festival or aka Austin Kite Festival finally kicked off today Sunday, March 14, 2010.

The kite festival is the oldest continually running kite festival in the country. It takes place at Zilker Park, 2100 Barton Springs Road, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; kite contest starts at 1 p.m.

Free parking and shuttles are available at the state garage at the corner of Sixteenth and Colorado (1604 Colorado St.).
