Jennifer Lyon of Survivor Palau Died at 37

Jennifer Lyon has been battling breast cancer for five years now. “In the summer of 2004, I felt something in my right breast that didn’t feel normal,” Lyon told People magazine in 2005.

Lyon underwent a double mastectomy and chemotherapy treatment in an attempt to battle the cancer and was an outspoken advocate for breast cancer charities.

Fellow “Survivor” contestants praised Lyon as a fighter and a caring person.

“She was engaged in the greatest fight of her life, but she had every intention to fight and spread her positive messages,” Austin Carty of “Survivor: Panama Exlie Island” told Us.
