Giuseppe Rossi scored twice

Giuseppe Rossi brought his country Italy to victory against the United States 3-1 Monday night in the opener at the FIFA Confederations Cup. Giuseppe Rossi scored twice in the second half and teammate Daniele De Rossi had a goal.

Three years ago, De Rossi was banned for four games of Italy’s World Cup victory for bloodying the face of United States forward Brian McBride with his elbow.
